Program March 11-12
National Final
Two hundred boys and girls from all over Italy are expected in Piacenza over the weekend of March 11 and 12 to participate in the national final of the FIRST® LEGO® League Italia educational robotics championship. After passing the first competition at the regional level, 28 teams were selected to participate in the finals, at the end of which 4 teams will be able to aspire to challenges scheduled at the international level, in different countries around the world:
- World Festival (world), Houston (Texas, USA), April 19 – 22, 2023
- FIRST® LEGO® LEAGUE Morocco Open Invitational 2023, Marrakech, May 18 – 21, 2023
- FIRST® LEGO® LEAGUE WPI Open Invitational, Worcester (Massachusetts, USA), June 9 – 11, 2023
- FIRST® LEGO® LEAGUE Challenge Asia Pacific Open Championship, Sydney, Australia, June 30-July 2, 2023.
- Participation in FIRST® space during We Make Future event – Rimini June 15-17.
International Event
Starting with the 2023-24 season, the Artú APS Association will bring the official FIRST® Tech Challenge championship to Italy. On the weekend of March 11 and 12, in conjunction with the FIRST® LEGO® League finals, the launch event will take place, hosting a number of foreign teams.
FIRST® TECH Challenge is for teams composed of young people between the ages of 12 and 18 who compete in building robots by applying engineering principles. Guided by adult coaches and mentors, they develop STEAM skills but also skills in fundraising, designing and marketing their team’s brand. All of this is done in full compliance with FIRST® values viz. Gracious Professionalism® – a way of operating that encourages high-quality work, emphasizes the value of all and respect for all individuals and the community, and the Coopertition, which means demonstrating unreserved kindness and respect in the context of fierce competition. https://www.firstinspires.org/robotics/ftc
The event will select:

During the two days a special edition of Piace Mattoncini, the Piacenza Bricks event that brings thousands of visitors to Piacenza each year, will be held, during which a diorama dedicated to the theme “Energy” and other technical constructions and with automated
FIRST® ENERGIZE Labs
The FIRST® Lego® League is not reserved for school teams. For all those who are interested in exploring this world, workshops aimed at groups of children and toddlers, girls and boys from primary and secondary schools (9 – 14 years old) will be organized on afternoons from March 6 to 9.
Parents or other educators interested in learning about the project are also invited to attend the workshops.

It will also be possible to receive the free ticket at the entrance to the exhibition hall.
A special V.I.P. (Very Interested People) ticket is provided for all those who wish to learn more about the activities carried out by contest participants.
By booking visitors will be greeted upon arrival by a volunteer who will accompany them and help them understand the different components of the challenges proposed to the teams while also explaining the different ways in which it is possible to participate as individuals or as companies in the growth of this project in our territory and nationwide.
