The contest encourages people to design, build, program robots to cooperate and compete in a pathway at the center of which are innovation, inclusion and fun.
FIRST® programs have been present in Italy since 2012 with the FIRST® LEGO® League, from this year there will also be the contest dedicated to secondary schools (graades 7 to 12, age 12 to 18) using a modular Android robotic platform. The ability required to create robot design and mechanics and the manual and programming skills required will be a great opportunity to discover the potential of each team member. Boys and Girls will be able to explore possible career outlets in STEM fields and acquire soft skills that are now essential in all fields of work. Core Values are the foundation of the activities performed: to win, each one must be able to cooperate with opposing teams as well.

- Financially support the program and/or a specific team.
- Support the implementation of the final events.

- Provide space for the implementation of activities.
Enrollment in the Class Pack option offers teachers, a special curricular program structured to be used throughout the school year in a wide variety of grade levels. The final event can be held internally at the school / center or by participating in an off-season event (The schedule of these events will be determined when registration is complete).
For italian students: the program is aligned with content related to the Civic Education curriculum and can be certified as PCTO free of charge.

FIRST Tech Challenge Impact
The impact on FIRST Tech Challenge participants is very positive and well documented. More than 86 percent of participants demonstrate a greater interest in performing well in all school and non-school subjects, and 87 percent are more interested in pursuing further education at the college level and in STEM subjects.
